Ifølge en evaluering af Corporate Governance i FTSE 350, udarbejdet af engelske FRC – Financial Reporting Council – ses der fremskridt omkring brug af eksterne rådgivere: “Following the introduction in 2010 of Code provision B.6.2, that board evaluation of FTSE 350 companies should be externally facilitated at least every three years, Grant Thornton reported for 2014 that nearly 40 per cent of companies carried out such a review. This builds on their research findings over the first three years of this new provision that 34 per cent in 2013, 35 per cent in 2012 and 25 per cent in 2011 reported that they had carried out an externally facilitated board review. These figures should be viewed with some caution as they will include a number of companies that have carried out more than one externally facilitated review in that period. Overall, though, it is a positive response to this provision. The change to the Code in 2012 recommending that companies disclose the identity of the external facilitator and whether they had any other link to the company has been reported on by all the companies which carried out an external review this year. Of these, 91 companies stated whether there was any other connection with the company.”
