Arrival of new wind blade mould at Isle of Wight factory set to deliver around 1,100 new jobs and £42m in local economic benefits, claims manufacturer
MHI Vestas is gearing up to expand production of its giant offshore wind turbine blades on the Isle of Wight next year, in a move that is set to deliver a £42m boost to the local economy and create around 1,100 new jobs.
The company will today reveal major preparations are underway to ramp up production from January after the arrival of a second blade mould at its Isle of Wight factory.
