Analyser fra internationale finanshuse

Morgan Stanley: AI vil ændre magtforholdene mellem nationer. “The emergence of generative AI marks a transformational moment that will influence the course of markets and alter the balance of power among nations. Increasingly capable machine intelligence will profoundly impact matters of growth, productivity, competition, national defense and human culture. In this swiftly evolving arena, corporate and political leaders alike are seeking to decipher the implications of this abrupt and powerful wave of innovation, exploring new opportunities and navigating new risks. The world is facing a narrow window of opportunity – what we call the inter-AI years – to shape the AI-enabled future. This window will be brief – a few years at most – then views and strategies will harden; norms, values, standards will be embedded within the technology; and the costs of changing course will rise. While AI-enabled technology will continue to progress, decisions made today will determine what is possible in the future. A generative world order will emerge.” Læs hele analysen her.

ING: Her er de fem vigtigste COP28-konsekvenser for virksomheder og investorer. ”The most important announcements of COP28 are to triple renewable power capacity by 2030 and transition away from fossil fuels. These unprecedented ambitions need to feed into the transition plans of corporates and investors. Only in this way can we expect a disruptive change towards lower emissions and clean energy. Tripling renewable capacity by 2030 requires grid-wide reforms. Historic deal on fossil fuels poses significant challenges to corporates and investors. Increased climate finance commitment opens up more opportunities. The world is getting more serious about methane emissions. Corporates and investors will continue to be important players at future COPs. Are we at the ‘beginning of the end’ for global energy transition?” Læs hele analysen her.

Goldman Sachs CEO om geopolitisk konkurrence. “Geopolitical competition is also making world leaders think about supply chains differently — and not just those in China and the US. For 30 years, countries and companies have prioritized efficiency. Now, they’re focused on resilience. “You need to think strategically, not just a profit motive. It’s about strategic positioning,” he said. Solomon said energy investments are critical to the US’s position in the world. “I’m a huge believer in energy transition,” he said. “But it’s a transition over a long period of time.” He notes that more than 80% of the world’s energy came from fossil fuels last year and emissions increased 6%.

Solomon also argued that geopolitical shifts are creating new opportunities. He highlighted India, and said Goldman Sachs’ offices in Bengaluru are “getting awfully close to being bigger than New York.” “The big reason we’re [in India] is because of the talent,” he said. “It’s a really, really interesting talent ecosystem, especially for engineering talent. We’ve built our presence there over 20 years, but there’s still more room to grow.” Læs hele analysen her.

ABN Amro: Risici for erhvervsliv og finansverden af tab af biodiversitet. “Biodiversity stands for biological diversity. The loss of biodiversity translates into the loss of services provided by ecosystems to the real economy. There are two types of risks associated with biodiversity: physical and transitions risks. Physical risks stem from the loss of biodiversity (for instance, disappearance of animal pollinators, like bees), and transition risks stem from regulations/policies introduced by regulators to mitigate biodiversity loss (such as the introduction of a tax on fertilizers or the implementation of Natura 2000). Physical risks are captured by how much a sector depends on biodiversity (e.g. agriculture depends a lot on animal pollinators, like bees).” Læs hele analysen her.
