Apple Inc. har oplyst US Securities and Exchange Commission, at selskabet fra og med 2021 vil ændre aflønningsincitamenterne for ledere til at inkorporere “Apple-værdier” og samfundsinitiativer.
I følge Apple spænder værdierne over miljømæssige, sociale og ledelsesmæssige (ESG) områder. Ændringen er foretaget for “yderligere at motivere Apples ledelsesteam til at opfylde usædvanligt høje standarder for værdibaseret ledelse ud over at levere stærke økonomiske resultater,” hedder det i meddelsen.
Apple oplyser, at dets kompensationsudvalg vil bruge ændringen til at etablere en stigning eller et fald i bonusbetalinger med op til 10% baseret på ledelsens præstationer med hensyn til Apples værdier og vigtige samfundsinitiativer i løbet af året.
Der planlægges ingen ændringer på bonusniveau eller til krav til performance og mål i henhold til det Tim Cook-ledede firma.

Cook’s 2020 salary of $14.8 million is 256 times greater than the median Apple pay of $57,783, noted Reuters. In September, Cook was given his first-ever stock grant, worth over $114 million.
